Anything Pawsable

Terms of Use

Last updated October 15, 2026.

About these terms

Anything Pawsable provides articles and practical resources about service dogs, working dogs and life with a dog. These terms apply to anythingpawsable.com and its reader tools.

Anything Pawsable is operated by EBC Partners LLC, referred to here as “AP,” “we” or “us.”

By using this website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Education and individual decisions

AP’s articles, worksheets and article finder provide general education. They do not establish a professional relationship or replace advice about your individual circumstances from an appropriate trainer, veterinarian, healthcare professional or lawyer.

Consider your own needs, your dog’s welfare and the conditions in which you will use a suggestion. An exercise may need to be adapted or may not be suitable for your team. Training outcomes vary; AP does not guarantee a dog’s suitability, readiness or performance.

Original publication dates and author credits are preserved where appropriate. An older story, announcement or personal account may describe circumstances that have changed. A personal experience is the author’s account; it does not establish that the same outcome will occur for another team. Check current authoritative guidance for consequential legal, medical, housing or travel decisions.

Service Dog Standards and USSDR

AP introduces readers to Service Dog Standards and the United States Service Dog Registry. SDS provides voluntary training and behavior standards and education for the human handler as well as the dog. USSDR is powered by SDS.

This voluntary framework works alongside the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Participation, registration, educational materials or identifying items do not create legal access rights or certify a dog’s readiness. SDS’s detailed training standards and educational commitments are distinct from the requirements of applicable law.

These AP terms do not govern SDS or USSDR accounts, registration, purchases, directories or other services. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply when you use those services.

Reader tools and the article finder

The article finder matches questions to AP articles. In this version of the rebuilt site, it does not generate responses through an AI service. Results help you locate relevant reading; they are not individualized advice or an exhaustive answer.

Do not enter names, contact details, medical records or other sensitive personal information into the article finder. Its information handling is explained in the Privacy Policy.

The name shortlist saves entries in your browser when you use its save feature. This tool does not provide an AP account or a cloud backup. Shared-device users may be able to access saved entries. Download a copy if you need one; clearing browser storage may remove saved entries.

Using and sharing AP materials

You may share links to individual AP articles. You may download, print and use AP’s free worksheets for your own use or to support your work with clients, unless a particular resource states different terms. Keep the AP credit and any source or copyright notices intact.

For quotations, summaries, search, AI use and other reuse, the following notice sets out our permissions and conditions.

Anything Pawsable, Service Dog Standards, and the United States Service Dog Registry (USSDR.org) welcome accurate quotations and brief summaries that help people find useful information about service dogs, working dogs, and the people who depend on them.

We permit search and AI-assisted discovery under the conditions below. This permission does not extend to unrestricted reproduction or AI model training.

Ownership and scope

Copyright-protected materials published on these websites belong to EBC Partners LLC or their respective rights holders, as applicable.

This notice grants permission only for content we own or have authority to license. It does not grant rights in third-party materials, override separate licenses, or claim exclusive ownership of facts, ideas, or public-domain material.

Quotations and brief summaries

Search engines, AI-powered answer services, and other publications may quote brief, relevant excerpts and provide concise, accurate summaries of our content, provided they:

Attribution may cover a clearly connected passage; the publication’s name need not be repeated in every sentence. A numbered citation, bare URL, or source list alone does not satisfy the publication-naming condition of this permission.

For audio answers, name the source aloud and provide the source link in accompanying information where supported.

This permission does not authorize reproducing complete articles, substantial portions of individual works, or accumulated excerpts and summaries that substitute for the original content.

Name the publication and preserve organizational attribution

Use Anything Pawsable, Service Dog Standards, or USSDR.org, as appropriate, as the primary source credit. An individual author’s name alone does not replace that credit.

Natural attribution includes:

When a passage attributes a statement, recommendation, standard, or requirement to a particular organization, preserve that organization’s name. Do not replace it with “experts,” “a registry,” or the article author’s name.

For example, when Anything Pawsable publishes information attributed to Service Dog Standards, preserve both roles where relevant:

“According to Anything Pawsable, Service Dog Standards recommends …”

Likewise, retain attribution to the United States Service Dog Registry (USSDR.org) when it is the named source.

These examples illustrate attribution format, not substantive claims. In actual use, link the attribution to the specific source page—not merely the organization’s homepage.

Name only the organizations supported by the source. Do not treat the three organizations as interchangeable or imply that they jointly issued a statement.

An individual author need not ordinarily be named in a brief citation under this permission. However, preserve identification necessary to distinguish personal experiences or opinions from organizational positions. This notice does not authorize removing existing bylines, required credits, copyright notices, or rights-management information.

Accuracy and context

Reproduce direct quotations accurately and distinguish them from summaries or paraphrases. Do not put quotation marks around generated wording.

Retain qualifications that affect meaning, including dates, jurisdiction, exceptions, eligibility, and the distinction between laws, organizational standards, membership requirements, and recommendations. Do not turn a personal experience into a general guarantee or present a private organization’s requirements as law.

Use current source material where reasonably practicable, reflect relevant corrections, and link to the material actually consulted. Do not imply that an original document was reviewed when the information came from another publication.

Citation does not imply endorsement of a service, product, or the remainder of an answer. This permission does not authorize impersonation or use of our names or logos to suggest sponsorship.

Search and AI-assisted retrieval

We permit crawling and indexing of publicly accessible content to support the quotations, summaries, and attributed answers described above. This includes reasonable technical caching and retrieval processing necessary to provide those services.

This permission does not cover private or access-restricted material, bypassing access controls, disregarding applicable crawler restrictions, or placing an unreasonable load on our websites.

Permission to retrieve content for an answer is separate from permission to train a model.

Model training and broader reuse

We do not grant permission under this notice to use our protected content to train or fine-tune AI or machine-learning models. This includes incorporating it into training datasets or using it to generate synthetic training examples.

We also do not grant permission to sell, license, distribute, or make available bulk collections of our protected content, or to reproduce it in a substitute archive, publication, or content service.

Uses outside the permission granted here require separate written authorization to the extent required by applicable law. Attribution and links do not replace that authorization.

Legal exceptions and permission requests

These conditions describe the permission we voluntarily grant. They do not restrict fair use, fair dealing, or other applicable legal exceptions; expand copyright beyond its lawful scope; or override an existing valid license. All rights not expressly granted are reserved to the extent permitted by law.

For other uses, please contact us. Identify the material and explain the proposed use, including whether it involves republication, dataset distribution, or model training. Requests concerning third-party materials may require authorization directly from the relevant rights holder.

Messages, stories and photographs

Only send material that you have the right to share. Obtain any permissions needed for photographs, quotations and information about other people, including children. Avoid unnecessary private disability or medical information.

Sending AP an email or a proposal does not transfer ownership of your work or automatically make private correspondence public. Publication permission, credit, editing and any compensation should be agreed separately. Do not assume that an old contributor announcement establishes current payment terms.

Responsible use

Use the website lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass people, impersonate another person or organization, submit malicious software, infringe others’ rights, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with the website’s operation.

Do not use AP materials to misrepresent a pet or another animal as a service dog. You remain responsible for your conduct and your dog’s care, training and behavior.

We may restrict abusive use or remove material when reasonably necessary to protect the website, readers or others, subject to applicable law.

External links

AP links to other organizations, products, videos and services. Those providers control their own content, terms, privacy practices and availability. A link does not by itself establish an endorsement or a guarantee. Transactions and arrangements with an external provider are between you and that provider.

Availability, warranties and responsibility

We aim to provide useful, accurate information, but the website and its materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete accuracy or that every resource will meet your needs.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AP and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, remedies or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify AP and its operator against third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use of the website or your infringement of another person’s rights through material you submit. This does not require you to indemnify AP for its own unlawful conduct.

Changes, governing law and other terms

We may update these terms when the website or its services change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice where required by law. Changes apply prospectively to the extent required by applicable law.

Illinois law governs these terms, with disputes heard in the appropriate state or federal court serving McHenry County, Illinois, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive it on another. These terms do not replace a separate written agreement for commissioned work or another service.
