The holiday season is a perfect excuse to grab some hot chocolate and snuggle up on the couch with your Service Dog, Working Dog or pet! Here are some of our favorites that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
1. A Dog Named Christmas
A Dog Named Christmas tells the story of Todd, a developmentally delayed 20 year old, who loves animals. When Todd hears that the local animal shelter wants to adopt dogs out for Christmas, Todd is right on board, much to the dismay of his father George. With persistence Todd is eventually given permission to bring home a yellow lab he names Christmas. Little does the family know that Christmas will change their life forever. 2. Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure

When Santa’s sleigh crashes in a small town and the magic toy bag is stolen, it’s up to Beethoven to find the bag and return it to Santa in time for Christmas. Sure to be a family favorite. 3. The 12 Dogs of Christmas
The 12 Dogs of Christmas takes place in 1931 in Maine during the Depression and tells the story of a young girl named Emma who uses 12 special dogs to show everyone the true meaning of Christmas. Watch the trailer here.

4. 12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue
The 12 Dogs of Christmas was followed by a sequel titled 12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue. Emma is back again, but this time follows her quest to save a local puppy orphanage, by putting on a big holiday event. Watch the trailer here.

5. Buddies Movies
As a follow up to the classic Air Bud movies, Disney released three different buddies movies that the kids will love! The titles are: Santa Buddies (2009), The Search for Santa Paws (2010) and Santa Paws 2 (2012). Click on each of the titles to watch the trailer for each of these movies.

6. The Dog Who Saved Christmas
When the Bannister’s welcome a new dog named Zeus into their home, he doesn’t appear to be the guard dog that the family is looking for. But when two burglars break into their house when they are away for the holidays, Zeus sets out to prove them wrong. Watch the trailer here.

7. The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation
A year later, a sequel for the Dog Who Saved Christmas came out, called the Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation. Here Zeus is back again, but this time he’s with the family on Christmas vacation and helps to save the Bannister’s vacation when trouble arises. Watch the trailer here. Following this movie was also another sequel called the Dog Who Saved the Holidays (2012).

8. A Golden Christmas
Golden Retriever lovers will adore this film! A Golden Christmas tells the story of two lost lovers who return to their hometown in their adulthood to find out that they are vying for the same house. But with the help of a special Golden Retriever they work through their troubles and find love in the process. 9. An All Dogs Christmas Carol
A sequel to All Dogs Go To Heaven is a twist on the classic Scrooge tail. An All Dogs Christmas Carol is an animated movie that is a little older, but is a classic that kids will love. Watch a preview here.

10. A Dog for Christmas
When Kassandra asks for a puppy for Christmas, her parents won’t budge. So Kassandra relies on Santa to grant her Christmas wish in A Dog for Christmas. Watch the trailer here.

12. All I Want for Christmas is You
One of the newer movies on the list All I Want for Christmas is You, focuses on a girl named Mariah who wants a dog for Christmas. In order to convince her parents that she is responsible enough, she offers to babysit her uncle’s dog Jack. But Jack is not very well behaved setting Mariah up for a challenge. Mariah Carey’s Christmas songs are also featured throughout the film. Watch the trailer here.

13. Paw Patrol: Pups Save Christmas
For the really little ones is Paw Patrol: Pups Save Christmas. Originally aired as a TV Episode, this movie follows the Paw Patrol pups as they work to save Christmas after Santa’s sleigh crashes. Here’s a short clip.

14. A Veteran’s Christmas
New for 2018 from Hallmark Movies is A Veteran’s Christmas. In this film, Grace is discharged from the marines and is separated from her K-9 partner. Grace’s Jeep breaks down in the town of River Crossing where she learns to love Christmas again and receives a great surprise. Watch a sneak peak and the trailer here.

15. Olive, The Other Reindeer
When one of Santa’s reindeer gets hurt, a Christmas-loving dog named Olive (voiced by Drew Barrymore) steps up to save the day. Check out this documentary on the making of Olive, the Other Reindeer here. Interesting fact: This movie was actually nominated for an Emmy.

16. A Dog Walker’s Christmas Tale
In A Dog Walker’s Christmas Tale, an entitled 21 year old is forced to take a job watching a rich developer’s dog. Although she is initially excited that the local dog park is going to be taken over and turned into a salon, Dean another dog walker makes it his mission to change his mind so they can save the dog park. 17. A Christmas Wedding Tail
