Alpine Outfitters Harness w/ "Working K-9" Patch

This Harness was custom made for one lucky working dog! It’s a blended design Alpine Outfitters specifically customized for our trainer and it utilizes options from both the Urban Trail Harness and the Flyball harness. It’s fully adjustable for a perfect fit, has an extra wide breastplate, a handle, two D-rings and is padded at every point it comes into contact with your Service Dog’s body.

IMG_3928It’s designed for comfortable, ergonomic, all-day wear during any job and any season. It’s particularly suited for light-duty wheelchair work, very light counter-balance work and includes an already attached “Working K-9” patch and reflective tape for nighttime visibility. Because it doesn’t completely cover your dog’s back and shoulders like many other Service Dog harnesses and vests, this style of working gear is also great for Psychiatric Service Dogs, Autism Assistance Dogs or any other type of Service Dog with a tactile-based calming task or response.

The harness up for grabs is a YELLOW and black, fully adjustable harness suitable for a dog 45 to 65 pounds (roughly Border Collie to small Labrador sized).

As a special thanks to our members and friends for helping us encourage voluntary acceptance of Service Dog training and behavior standards, we’re giving away free gear, books, treats and more with our 2013 Howly Jowly Gear Giveaway!

This is a nice functional looking harness I would really love to have it for my Mobility/balance assist service dog Ellie. It looks very comfortable and I like my girl to be comfortable when doing her work.

It wouldn’t let me comment or “edit” to try again, but put my name in. I wanted to say that if my dog had a harness like this, she would have something cooler to wear during the hot summer months.

This looks like a fun alternative to the heavy leather harnesses most SDs wear. I would love to try this on the German Shepherd SD I am training for Mobility

This would be a great piece of equipment for Cash. He is huge to begin with and I believe this would be a comfortable, working, fit for him and me.

What a cool looking harness! I think that the yellow would make it stand out nicely on a dark coat.

Definitely! This harness could easily have side D-rings added (many do already) and you could add a bridge handle to match. K9 Lifeline Designs makes custom bridge handles with a gazillion color options.

Entering for Jericho my Service dog. To help make his life a little better. He does so much for me it’s the least I can do.

I would really love one of these. But it might be to small for my mobility assist dogs. 97 lbs and 85 lbs. I have a hard upright leather harness I use. But this would be great for around the house or any place I’m not going to do a lot of walking but might need something to grab onto for a bit. Also when taking them both out it would be nice to have on the second dog.
